Earlier this year, our Texas church insurance agency spotted something strange. While researching new topics for church insurance content, a quick search revealed an out-of-state agency had copied our previous content. They used our words, tone, and even our exact phrasing. While Oscar Wilde called imitation the sincerest form of flattery, for us at Insurance for Texans, their imitation didn’t sit well with us.
The agency that has been copying our content is based in California, which Texans know is very different from our great state.
While we don't mind a little competition, this isn't just about selling insurance. This is about trying to sell "Texas church insurance" without ever having sat in a Texas church pew. While they might know how to run ads and use AI, they fundamentally don't understand the spirit and integrity of Texans.
There is a unique ethos that comes from discussing church issues under the shade tree outside the sanctuary, joking about dry brisket, or driving hours across the vast state just to get to the other side.
But here is the most important part of this whole hullabaloo: they don't know what truly makes Texas churches different. When it comes to risk and insurance, that difference matters more than you think.
This week, our podcast dives into why locally informed knowledge, deep understanding of the Texas landscape and our process of True Texas Church Insurance are essential for faithful stewardship of your church's assets.
The third week of Faith, Stewardship, and Insurance reminded us that uncertainty doesn’t have to control your ministry.
With the right preparation and the right partner, your church can stand strong through financial storms, leadership challenges, and the unexpected costs that come with real ministry.
That’s what True Texas Church Insurance was built for. We give Texas churches clarity, confidence, and peace of mind rooted in stewardship and truth.
