Being born in a small Texas Panhandle town and living in an even smaller Texas Panhandle town came with its own set of privileges. Being the Baptist Preacher's kid meant that everyone knew me and everything I was up to. Good or bad.
The beauty in this scenario meant that I also always had help on deck when I needed it. That has stuck with me my whole life.
From those early days on the mean streets of Lefors in the 70s, to the serene campus of Baylor in the 90s, to my local church in Grapevine, I have benefited from the compassion and care of The Baptist Churches of Texas.
When we started Insurance For Texans, we decided to operate from a place of "leaving it better than we found it". Something that was ingrained in me many decades ago. Now, we see this not only as our call, but also our privilege.
